my names Jake, just recently got a 97 golf as a graduation gift. I'm planing on making it as quick as possible with out being rediculous.
ive been thinking of doing a motor swap, some of my friends have told me to put a vr6 in it. others say put a 1.8t and just upgrade the turbo.


also, is there any specific way to tell what kind of golf it is?

like if it is MK2, MK3, MK4 or anything like that.
it was purchased in mexico and has some funky badges on it.
so im probally just going to de-badge it.

Well considering that its a 97 its a mk3 and i would go with the vr6 then later on turbo it..
