Hello, i have a 1.6 WV Golf 1995, recently it has started to pull to the left and the streering wheel keeps pulling to the left in a jerking movement.

does anyone have some ideas as to what could be causing this problem

This most likely wont solve your problem, but I was in a similar situation, although my steering wheel never jerked, so its probably a different cause.

When my golf was pulling to the left, it was because of a low tire/misaligned tire.
