I have this '98 Cabby with a rotten shock tower (you can see right through to the wheel from the engine compartment). I've been to several shops and no one wants to touch it. They say it would cost at least $1,500 to repair and the car isn't worth it. Some shops won't touch such a structurally critical repair. There are some other rusty areas but none structural. If anyone wants to buy it to part out, it's available in Walden, NY. The car is otherwise show room clean with the only wear, inside, is on the left side of the driver's seat. Engine has 150k and doesn't use a drop of oil. Good tires, fronts were installed less than a year ago. Top is original but looks new. It is currently registered and drivable but it won't pass its next inspection due in January. My Honey bought it new and this is very sad for her. But if nobody wants it by next week, it goes to the junk yard (sob).
