Hey, I have a 1990 Cabrio Karmann with a 3 speed auto (either that or 4th gear is gone lol). I love the car, enough to waste money on it. Is there anyway way to get an upgraded transmission? One with 4 gears, or an overdrive? If no, can I swap it to a stick? I'd prefer not to because my gf is deaf and would have a hard time knowing when to shift a stick, but honestly that 3 speed auto has to go by any means neccissary.

I would say it should be a 4 speed transmission so just them or have someone diagnose why 4th isn't working.
