Did the Cabriolet come with a factory installed alarm system?

I just bought the VW last night, and when i returned home I moved the seat forward and the alarm system went off. It took me 5-10 minutes to turn the thing off. I had to lock the doors and re open them with a key to shut down the alarm. I called the dealer that i boutgh the car from and he said they never recieved an alarm unlocking device with the car when they bought it and may be it was a factory installed alarm since thier is RED LED indicators next to the door ****/ locks.

IF so where can i purchase a replacement control device?

If it is brand new and creating troubles, then it would be better for you to replace it, it could be a due to installing fault or may be alarm is defective, so better change it rather than repair it.
