Default Issue after replacing rear brakes and rotors

I just replaced my rear rotors and pads {used proper caliper piston reset tool}.
I can't for the life of me get one of the emergency brake cables back on...any suggestions?

Thanks

I just replaced rear calipers and pads on 1999 vw beetle, reconnecting the EB cable wasn't easy. Here is how I reconnected the EB cables. I placed the cable between the caliper and the EB cable bracket, I then pused the bracket backwardsuntil I saw the cable end, then pushed the end into the bracket holder. I hope this helps someone. I have never worked on any VW before and now I have a problem with a vaccum leak, the engine idles rough when I depress the brake pedal, then when I release the brake pedal, the engine runs fine. I'm having a problem locating the brake booster vaccum line. PS.....If needed, I can take pics of my old caliper and try to show you how i reconnected the EB cable.
