I have a 99 Bug for my 16 year old daughter -she love it. It is fun to drive!
My problem - I am trying to replace her headlight - the lever does not seem to move, it has pushed the headlight assembly out about 1/8 " ,but thats it, seems stuck - I dont want to pry it ? any help would be great!

I have been told that to replace the low beam bulb, it is $140.00. Does anyone know? He said it is because they are HID lites. But seems a little ridiculous to me that a basic part like a headlight bulb could cost so much.

 

If you can get to the lever with a flathead screw driver sometimes you can help the release lever. My main rule is not to force things though bc that is when they brake.
