Default Exhaust Tips

Hi, I have the chrome exhaust tips on my 1970 1600cc Beetle. The tips have a muffling effect and have a liner inside. It is noticeable louder without the exhause tips, but they need to be there for the exhaust to clear the back of the car and not go back up into the engine compartment. They offer stainless steel ones a Wolfsburgwest. Does anyone here know if they have the muffling effect? I am looking of something that doesn't. Thanks for any help.

The stock exhaust tips are set up so you can remove the baffels
and insulation, look at the end that goes into the muffler and cut
away the clip holding all the goodies inside it.
