Not sure, but, I was looking through My Haynes Manual the other day, there are a few differnt Beetle Engines and different Engine Codes. Are certian engine Codes more deseriable than others?

 

yes that is a fact. they changed a little every few years, as a general rule though the newer the better and the year can be determined by the letters is yours an aj,ge,or cv?

 

I was wondering, cause mine is an "AH" code, says California only, and one of two codes, according to the book, that puts out 60 HP.

I figured newer engine would be worth more, didn't know if certian engine codes had the hearts of people or not.
