'69 beetle rapid blinker please help

Default '69 beetle rapid blinker please help

just bought a '69 beetle and my blinkers are going rapid fire. anyone have experience with this type of problem?

Usually a 'rapid heartbeat' is due to atired bimetallic (or a short) where the current spike between source & load.
I replace every bulb in the vehicle each spring, check the fusebox & replace all of those, clean the retainers, and general maintainance will prevent those wire fires.
Replace the blinker relay, toss the Old Glass,drink a beer.
