I have a '68 beetle (1500) on which I am trying to install a 9-pin flasher unit (original equipment type, the one that was on it when bought was a hybrid, makeshift flasher. I have looked online for assistance and even though many of the connections are the same on several different sites, I have managed to burn up two $60 flashers by following them.
I need reliable assistance in finding out which wires plug into which connection on the flasher. I am sure terminals 30, VR, VL, 15 and S are correct, I am lost on what to plug into KBL, 54, 54F, 49A.
