'63 headlight removal trouble. ???
Wife wants the aftermarket, "eyebrows," replaced on her '63 Beetle. I can see an adjustment screw, one on each side of the headlight ring, and a large tab below the whole assembly, with a larger screw. Under the large screw is a plastic stud. I've never had a headlight out on this car. Makes sense to me the large screw must release the assembly, but it is stubborn and when turning slightly, the plastic stud rotates as well.
Before I break something, what is the headlight removal process for these cars?? (Yes, I did do search, with nothing addressing this that I could find)
Thanks,
Dennis

Must be really good headlights, as it appears few, if any, on this forum have had to deal with them. I've been too busy to try it again, but perhaps I should mention here the main reason for my post is that I don't understand if the plastic stud behind the big screw is merely a free-moving spacer or if it is press-fit into the fender and not supposed to move. If the former, then when I get back to it, I'll just pull it out.
Can't be too much to this, but with, "wife,s" car, I don't want to hack things up too much.
