ok so i have a 2000 beetle, named avalanche, anyway my fan relay is not working. my fan stays on and just drains my battery. there is no where in my area that will work on it till monday. right now i am disconnecting my battery when i turn it off. i am a girl with very little car knowledge, it took me three hours just to ge the battery out to change. my auto zone has the relay but does not know where it is or how to get to it. any help would be greatly appriciated.

 

It actually doesn't have a relay. It is either the thermo switch which is connected to the radiator or the fan control module which is around the bottom of the radiator. This is where you make suggestions for the forum. Post in the Beetle category next time. I'm glad I saw you here.
