2001 New Beetle CV axle
2001 New Beetle GLS 2.0 engine with 4 Spd automatic transmission.
Replacing front CV axle because found CV boot leaking like crazy. First time doing this and in searching for axle looked it up in Bentley and found diagrams for a drivers side left axel (solid shaft) and passenger side right axel (tube shaft). Bentley does not clearly show location of each axel in car suspension system. Assuming CV joint I found leaking is the left side axel where is the right side axel located?
I thought there was only one CV axle to replace, but searching for part on internet I found drivers side axle and offers for a pair of axels for my car. The internet diagrams show one axel longer than the other. Please clarify for me so I can get on with the repair.
Thank you,
Bill
