Default 2000 New Beetle Oil Pan

WM changed my oil and stripped my threads, badly. Now the car leaks non-stop. I need a new oil pan but the dealership wants $290 for a new pan. Any suggestions?

Any good mechanic can repair the stripped threads on the oil pan with something called "a heliocoil". This is a thread repair kit that is used frequently.

good idea to use a heli coiil . you might try calling your local jiffy lube/quick lube joint and ask them if they can repair it for you im sure they do it often
