2000 beetle 2.0 had no power . Idles good but you step on gas peddle and it wants to die

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.

Codes saying misfire have replaced multiple parts

Catalytic converter , pressure regulator, spark plugs , spark plug wires , fuel filter all have been replaced , no change
