Default Bolt patterns for golf 3

Hi

I was just wondering does anyone know if you can change a 1995 4 bolt pattern from a 1.4 3 golf to a five bolt pattern as alot of wheels i would like are 5 studs and fit the golf vr6 bolt pattern.

If so does anyone know if it is an easy job or worth while even bothering

Thanks

you can buy stud adapters that would bolt onto your exsisting studs to make it 5 bolt. personly i dont like them for the fact of the extra set of lugs that is hidden by the whell when installed, also it will affect what backspace you can go with aswell , being the wheel will stick out more with the adapter. hope that helps!

Those wheel adaptors will work, but they are killers on
the wheel bearings, because of the extra outward off set.
They throw the geometrics of the weight off center from
the bearings.
