Default 2008 Dash clust/odometer replacement

Have a 2 month old Rabbit. Yesterday, i slipped on the ice while getting in, and by way of some fabulous mid air acrobatics, ended up breaking the cover on the guage cluster and the needle on the speedo, as well astearing the steering wheel cover, and spraining my wrist.[X(]I have no problem being able to replace the cluster with a new one, but is the miliage on the odometer saved in the ECM or the cluster itself? I know on GM's its stored in the cluster and it has to be reprogrammed to the correct milage. But on Chryslers and some fords, its stored in the ECM and no programming is required.

Thanks for the help,
Ben Konrad

AAaahh crap, sorry posted in the wrong section!

Don't know about your cluster question, but your post

laughing.
