Default buzzer issue

I just got a 1986 vanagon, and it has a buzzer going off as soon as I shift into gear that won't shut off. It needs a new power steering pump, and is whining, which might be the cause of the buzzer. My other thought is there might be a shift buzzer that is going off . . . possibly a tranny issue (hopefully not) . .. anyone have any ideas?

thanks,

Matt

Default RE: buzzer issue

I just purchased an 83 Rabbit convertible last week that was having the same problem. Turned out to be a faulty oil pressure sender making the low oil warning buzzer go off. The car had plenty of oil and wasn't overheating or anything.
