Default A New Guy With Questions? Naww...

Hello everyone,
My girlfriend just acquired a '97 Cabrio (pictures to come at some point), which she's wanted for a long time. Since I'm the family mechanic, I'll be taking care of it, so I have a few questions.

-Is there anything I should be on the lookout for in these cars? I'm not super familiar with VW products.

-What oil does the 2.0L require?

-What are some places i can find interior accessories for the Cabrio?

-Should the car have lights in the foot wells? This one doesn't.

-What is the best (Start argument...NOW) sealant/conditioner for the top?

Thanks ahead of time for your help, I look forward to being a member of the community.

Cabs are fun. The 2.0 is a fairly bulletproof little engine. You can give it syn or reg oil but stay consistent with whatever you use. Google VW Accessories and there will be tons of stuff. I am fairly certain those are too old to have footwell lights. Have fun with it. Good luck. blue audi a4 Portland Oregon

Oh and as for the top conditioning. Sealants leave streaks.
