Just bought an 02 jetta 1.8T with 38000 miles for $13500. Can the 15's on the jetta be replaced with 16'sor 17's or is that too much wheel? any other suggestions on modifications would be greatly appreciated.

 

Welcome, you could go all the way up to 18's if you felt the need, actually ive seen one with 20's looked stupid but it can be done. just gotta go lower profile on the tire. I personally love my 17's cause i can have a nice tire with enough tread that it wont blow when i hit bumps.

Wow, just looked at tire prices. Didn't realize how much dollar diff there was between 15's and 17's. Looked at you car on your site joelzy. Very nice!!

 

thanks man, yeah tires can be pricey, just another reason why i'd rather not have a low profile that i have a good chance of blowing out all the time like that.
