Default Hi, im new with a question

I recently wrecked my daily driver truck and i am looking into a VW Jetta, 2004 with 49,000 miles. body is in perfect condition as is the interior. everything about this car seems very nice and i really like it. The dealership is asking 16,995$ for the car is that a good price or to much??

I have never drove anything but GM products but i want somethin betterwith MPG so i have to leave GM for that. Do you think this is a good buy?

Thanks for the help, Cody

They are expensive to work on, but good gas mileage you can get with any car. My room mates honda civic gets 34 MPG. Just compare and contrast each car that has good gas mileage. That's my best advice...

K, i think that i am goin to buy one just because i like the way that the car looks and the gas mileage is just a plus. I think that im goin to buy a 2002 Jetta with a 1.8 L Turbo engine with only 40000 miles for 13000$

Do a carfax report...some of the 2002 1.8T's had very bad electrical. Other than that, the rides nice and smooth, and the motor is easily modified. Good luck, not a bad price, iether.
