I’m not sure what there is to say that’s relevant that’s not in “About Me” or my signature. After all, this is a forum about VW’s. In the interest of complying with the rules here goes.

I’ve owned this albatross four years. It was something my wife wanted and we were duped big time. The phrase, “buyer beware”, applies even when the sellers are a very nice, professional, well-to-do, personable, older couple. (Note that some of the issues were Winnebago design issues.) Don’t do what I did. Instead, pay a couple of hundred dollars to an RV repair shop to inspect it and another couple of hundred dollars to an auto repair shop.

Before I became an albatross mechanic I worked for a large company as senior designer reporting to the product design engineer. I was an expert at SolidWorks modeling and simulation as well as Excell (circa 2016).

Up until lately I’ve always done all of my own mechanic work. I still do my own fabrication.
