2012 VW Jetta SE AUX issues
So I literally purchased this 2012 VW Jetta a solid hour ago and it has an auxiliary input behind the gear shifter. I’ve been trying to figure out how to set this thing up. The radio works perfect and for some reason when I go to menu and then setup the aux option isn’t shown. I really would prefer to have an aux option so please give any suggestions!

Welcome to the forum.
Its nice to see you made an intro on your own.
It may depend on which radio is fitted. On my RCD310 when I use the USB flash drive to play MP3's it shows AUX on the radio. If you have a sat/nav radio you can loads MP3's to the SD card to play them.
You made 2 posts with the same text in the same section, I've deleted the other one.

When I went into the manual it told me to go into menu, click set up and then there would be an option to turn on the aux option. However, when I go into menu and setup there is no aux option for some reason and I can’t figure out or find out why

Which radio do you have fitted?
You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check the system out.

I have the RCD310. I’m taking it in Monday so hopefully they have a VAGCOM. The aux option isn’t even in the setup menu so I have no idea what i can do other than wait and see.

When I asked my dealer about using an iPod in in the AUX socket in the arm rest. They said there is a modded USB connector that allows better control from the Multi-Function Steering Wheel (MFSW) its about £30.
