Default 2010 vw cc r line 2.0t

Hello all
Just got a 2010 Volkswagen CC r line with 140k miles. The car runs and drives beautifully. I can start it up and drive it but sometimes when I park it and go to start it it doesn’t start up all the way. It’ll start for a second and then die out really fast and flash a red battery light. My mechanic tested the battery and tested the alternator and said both were ok. It doesn’t throw any codes. I know the car had a serpentine belt and tensioner replaced according to paperwork in the car and the battery is 3 months old. It has also apparently already had the fuel pump module done at vw for that recall. It’s a nice car and I have the option to return it if I can’t figure out why it would start up some times and then not others but I honestly like the car and it’s replacing my even more complex jaguar s type r. I even tried to jump start it and it eventually started but after a few tries with it being hooked up so not even after the first or second time but I don’t think the jump even helped. No dimming lights either by the way to indicate alternator but the red battery light says otherwise although it was tested. Please someone let me know if you’ve had this issue. Again this is a 2010 Volkswagen CC r line 2.0t

Welcome to the forum.

Its nice to see you made an intro on your own.

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.

Please tell us your car spec in your signature
