Default 16618 - Boost Pressure Regulation: Limit Exceeded (Overboost Condition)

I own a 2002 VW Jetta TDI 1.9L.

While driving today I stepped on the gas to go up a large hill when my turbo seemed to shut off and I ran in limp mode home. I then connected to VAGCOM and found the following fault:

Address 01: Engine Labels: 038-906-012.LBL
Part No: 038 906 012 FD
Component: 1,9l R4 EDC G000AG 4102
Coding: 00001
Shop #: WSC 00066
3VWSP29M22MXXXXXX VWZ7Z0A3XXXXXX
1 Fault Found:
16618 - Boost Pressure Regulation: Limit Exceeded (Overboost Condition)
P0234 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 1 1 0 0 0

After reading a ton online I went to my buddies VW shop and he replaced the Boost Pressure Valve for me. After a thrashing ride around town the turbo shut off again and I lost power. Same fault code came up again.

He's ordering a Boost Pressure Sensor right now for tomorrow. What do you guys think?

Not sure if it's relevant or not, but I have been running B100 biodiesel for the past 3 years (50/50 -B50) mix in cooler months in Vancouver weather.

And advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
