Default a weird clunk and then a pull!!!!

i have a 01 gti with a manual tranny, i was turning left out of my street and i heard a lound clunk, but i just kept driving. the car seemed fin, then it started pulling hard to the left. i pulled over and it clunked again. idrove it home it was fine until i got to the house and it started pulling again. does anyone have any idea what this could be? could it be dif problems or cv problems?

if anyone has anything that would be awsome!!! thanks

the tie rod ends are fine. when the right tir is on the ground and the left off, and the tranny is in neutral the wheel should spin freely right? oh yeah and no the one side didnt sink. i think it might be my differential, cause pulled the drain plug and the fluid was a dark metalic color wich usually means a bearing or something has failed.
