Default Throttle body

My throttle body keeps clogging with gunk and tripping the check engine light. Does anyone have any idea how to stop this and why it's doing it? The engine sputters a little and I want to give it a tune up, but if the throttle is mucking up the spark plugs, I need to solve that problem first.

Default RE: Throttle body

Get yourself some Gumout throttle body cleaner/spray. Spray it in, let the car run a minute or two, and see where you're at. Depending on what's all getting in there, wether it's blowby or what, you can rid yourself of the problem. I had some blowby on my Jetta, I went to put on a cold air intake when I first got it and noticed some oirl (better known as oil) sitting all inside the air box and hoses. I installed a catcher that collects all that blowby, like a reservoir, and hadn't had a serious problem at all. I've seen some use the same thing in fuel lines to catch water, I'm assuming. This is all I know....hope it helps some.
