Im in the same boat i just baught a 2000 golf and am thinking the same thing. might be best to do the basics first i/h/e and a few other easy modifications and if its still not enough can always go nitrous its lot cheaper and easier then turbo and just as effective if its tuned right. in new to the vw scene been a honda and gm guy so need to start learning a lot about the golfs.

Default Need help with my Golf..

I am 21 and I have been playing golf for 12 years. i am a 3 handicap(worldwide) and very capable of shooting underpay anywhere any day....until 2007 showed up. i haven’t broke 80 this year and I’m hitting it solid but the score is much higher then normal. I never been a great iron player probably hitting only 10 greens a round but with accuracy with the driver and my short game and putting(my strength) I’ve always been able to put a solid low 70's on the scorecard. Have I peaked and declining or will my game bounce back....It's been 3 months now and now the mental doubts and frustrations are getting to me. the only thing i can think of is my weight(i did go from 190 pounds to 175 from October 2006 to January 2007)

i'd love to think its mechanical but my video recordings of me don’t really show a change.

Default Need help with my Golf..

Hi, I am a fairly new golfer. Although my swing speed is slow, I can make solid contact with my driver and my fairway woods. I think distance will improve over time as of now I can only get 200 yards with my driver. However, I can not hit irons at all. I either top the ball, or hit the ground. Once in a while I will make solid contact but it is rare. Since I can hit woods/drivers well, what do I have to change in my stance to be able to hit irons? Is the swing different? P.S. I can only hit woods off tees. Anything not on a tee I can't hit.
Thanks for your help in advance. (I think i typed too much, hope I'm making sense.)

HiI think you need any mileage correction to help you change your speed, such as Tacho universal, Super VAG K+CAN etc.
