Exclamation Ignition problem

I have an '08 Jetta. It has minor electrical problems starting (high beam headlights only) but the most recent one is a killer! When I turn the ignition, all indicator lights come on like normal but when I turn it to crank, I get nothing. No clicks. No anything. I did not think it was the battery but I tested it anyway. 12.4v. I checked the ignition fuse in the engine compartment (F14) and it is ok.
Anyone have suggestions?

Unhappy Update!

The problem got worse! Now there is no electrical anything at all. Even the door locks won't work. Battery still fully charged.
