Default Help...My alarm is driving me Bananas

[sm=feedback.gif] My alarm won't disarm. I just bought a 2000 VW Jetta and it does it on and off. I think that it has to do with rain getting in, because eventhough I have only had the car for a week, the only 2 times it's done was after it rained. I can't start the car because the alarm is tied to the ignition and it goes off when I try to start the car. Can anyone help me out? Could it be the moisture? If anyone has any ideas PM me.

Thanks

i m thinking that a quick fix for this, though certainly not permanent, would be to just go in the fuse box and disable the alarm system. this might get you trhu untill you get more "professional" advice and at least won'e embarass you everytime you go out

I do agree in the goin to the fuse box and temporarily solving your problem... Maybe the rain short circuited your alarm or you might have a faulty wiring... Go and visit your mechanic or anyone who knows about wiring, for more professional advice... Goodluck!!!
