Default Give me some advises

Glad to be here and this is my first to post for I really need you help
Last month,i bought a Used car Volkwagen it has run 50,000 kilometers. I want to get an overall car diagnosis. I want to know how much should i afford to repair it in garage and what diagnostic tools should i need if i want to repair it by myself. Hoping the friends that have experience to give me some suggestion.
thanks again.

Well there is only one diagnostic tool for VAG vehicles VCDS. They aren't cheap but its the best tool you can buy.

We need more details on your motor?
