Is there some way to determine the amount of diesel exhaust fluid in the tank?

The vehicle is a 2014 Passat.

 

Isn't there an option on the MFD for radio/sat/nav settings? I think it just shows miles left not the level.

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.

 

I don't need to get anything scanned. I'm simply inquiring if there is some way to determine the level of DEF in the DEF tank.

Why do I NEED to get my motor scanned? I don't have a problem that I am attempting to solve. I am simply inquiring if there is a method to determine the level of DEF in the tank other than waiting for the warning light to come on?

Will check the system out if there any bad sensors or any software updates in the sat/nav..
