DEF level
Is there some way to determine the amount of diesel exhaust fluid in the tank?
The vehicle is a 2014 Passat. |
Isn't there an option on the MFD for radio/sat/nav settings? I think it just shows miles left not the level.
You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out. |
I don't need to get anything scanned. I'm simply inquiring if there is some way to determine the level of DEF in the DEF tank.
Thanks |

I did read what you wrote,
"You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out." Why do I NEED to get my motor scanned? I don't have a problem that I am attempting to solve. I am simply inquiring if there is a method to determine the level of DEF in the tank other than waiting for the warning light to come on? |

Will check the system out if there any bad sensors or any software updates in the sat/nav.. |
Question: "Is there a way to determine the amount of diesel exhaust fluid in the tank ?"
Acceptable Answers: 1. "Yes, and here's how you do it" 2. "No" 3 " I don't know, maybe someone else on this forum does" |
