1970 Sun Beetle purchased in January ‘25
replaced all cylinders and pistons
sent heads to be cleaned/replaced valves (all valves adjusted to .006)
replaced fuel tank, all rubber hoses, filter and fuel pump
Replaced carb with 32/36 DFEV from Amazon (Weber clone)
Engle W100 cam
Replaced entire ignition from switch to coil to distributor to wires/plugs


Now for the problem…
Engine runs ok at idle…just OK…has the slightest miss/shake
Will not accelerate smoothly… occasionally backfires and/or bogs down during heavy acceleration
Good power at higher RPMs
It is driveable but is not quite right
