Default home made surfer wagon on vw chasis

Does anyone remember an article in popular science or popular mechanics back in the early 70's of a surfer wagon built on a Volkswagon chasis? It was built out of plywood and fiberglass reinforcement. it was kind of boxey and had a futuristic look to it. I bought the plans for it but over the years have lost it. Just wondering if anyone out there would remember.

Default renewed interest in Volkswagens

Good to have introductions. My name is Dan. I drove Volkswagens all of the years in the 70's. ( bugs , transporters, Doublecab pickup, superbeatle) I used to rebuild engines with John Muir's help. ( one of the first idiot books i know of." How to keep your Volkswagen alive" " A manual of step by step procedures for the complete idiot" .I bought that book in 1972 for $5.50. My hobby for the past 35 years has been antique cars. Model A's. I'm working on a 1931 Chevrolet woody station wagon right now. Would like to renew my interest in Volkswagens.
