VW Polo MY2006 EPC warning light
Hi,
Recently I left my car garaged and did not start it for about 2 months. As a result, the battery ran down completely. I jump-started it and now there are two warning lights on: EPC and what looks like an engine warning light. As I do not have the owner's manual, I don't know what these mean although other forums have suggested that it is linked to engine sensor problems or brake light problems.
My brake lights are working fine but immediately after trying to drive it post jump-start, I noticed a severe lack of power in the engine. The power seems to be returning but the warning lights are still on. Are they likely to turn off if I give it a little time or is this serious?
Any help would be appreciated.

Update
Reset the ECU and the EPC light has now turned off. The engine management light is still on which suggests a fault with a sensor - a few forums say the oxygen sensor is often the culprit. How would I know if it was the catalytic converter that was the problem and not just the sensor?

Certain things happen when a vehicle remains parked for long period of time. You jump started the car as it didn't agreed to start by the ignition. I am not quite sure that any serious hazards would have happened internally but now you have opted continuously to start your vehicle by jump start. Why don't you recharge the car's battery or otherwise any serious think will happen. You can contact the dealer for this problem or you can refer to the search engine to find your solution.
