VW Polo Car Heater Blower Resistor
Hi,
I own a Volkswagen Polo (6R1, 6C1) 1.2LTSI 81KW 2014 Model.
The Car Heater Blower Resistor needs replacing. Apparently the following part number should fit my vehicle: 6Q0959263A
I have tried 2 aftermarket replacements parts and both do not fit. One is a Topran (German Company) and the other was from China off EBay.
Both parts look nearly identical to the original. It works when connected. It just doesn't fit into the socket of the Blower casing unit correctly and twist to lock in. There's some tiny differences with the lip of the plastic mold.
Would VW have modified the plastic mold of this part slightly to prevent sales of competition aftermarket companies?
It cost $15 on EBay or $110 AUD from Volkswagen Sydney, Australia.
