Hey guys,

I recently bought a 1997 polo for an absolute bargain because the diles on the dash were not working (speedo, revs, temp, petrol) along with the electric milage isn't working either.

The information lights in the centre of the dash work fine as well as the indicator lights work too.

Apparently from the previous owner "all the gages were working fine up untill two days ago then they just dropped out" (It was one of those believe it or not moments).

I've had a look at the fuse box and all looks fine but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and has any idea on how I can fix it. I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty as I've done quite a bit of mechanical work on previous cars.

Hopefully its a common problem that someone out there knows how to fix. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
