1998 polo 1.4 inter oil pressure light and beepers issue (sensor has been changed)
Several good mechanics have checked car and recently oil pressure switch was changed but still issue occurs from time to time
car is still in pristine condition with only 38k milegae and mine from new
Oil levels good , oil is clean ....oil filter is clean ...serviced regularily
this is first issue and repair thats occured and all are puzzled
warning buzzer sounds then red oil warning light will flash ......then disapeear for days or weeks or months till it starts again
is there a another hidden sensor somewhere ? .....any ideas please

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

You need a good oil pressure gauge fitting to see if you have pressure.
It depends how often the oil and filter is changed with quality oil.
Oil pickup pipe in the sump gets blocked, so sump off.

Thank you ...apologies for failing introduction ....rather too wound up worrying about my favourite little car ...
i know the oil filter is totally spotless ....the car has always been serviced by one of a few garages i trust ....but given its age maybe the sump , tubes etc needs totally cleaning and the recomended independant mechanic currently trying to find reason is 100% trustworthy ...he checked everything before he even considered replacing the oil pressure switch
