Hello - can anyone help with this problem I am having:

The air conditioning in my 2005 Passat 1.9td estate has never worked since I bought it second hand. I have had the system drained, and refilled but it only blows out warm air.

But in addition to that, even if I have the air con / climate control turned off, when I drive along, warm air blows through.

I am trying to understand why warm air is blowing through even when the air con is off.

I am considering replacing the pump but wanted to get some feedback from other Passat owners before I do this in case it could be something else.
