Last weekend I replaced the turbo charger oil return line on my 2010 CC, because it looked like it was leaking at the rubber hose clamp nearest the engine block side (2010 CC, 2.0T engine). See the photo attached. The next day, I discover the same leak seemingly out of the same place on the new line. As can been seen in the photo, it appears oil drips from the return line, onto the input oil line below and onto the rim of the oil pan. After driving it about 40 miles to/from work, I get two or three drops on the ground. By the way, the back of the return line is dry, only leaking at the front where the hose clamp is. The small place on the engine block around those hoses also is wet with oil. There doesn't appear to be any leaks above these lines. So, I can image three possibilities: 1. However unlikely, the new return hose is bad at the same place as the old one...really improbable. 2. Somehow the input line is leaking and oil is getting all the way up to the return hose. Not sure how that can happen. 3. A leak somewhere else in the area that I can't see. My next step is to clean really well that area, turn the engine on, and watch for leaks while laying under the car.....not sure for how long. I'm writing this in hopes that anyone else out there might have a better idea of where the leak might be coming from. Thanks.
