Turbo Charger for Passat
Hi folks!
I need to buy a turbocharger for 1998 1.9TD WV Passat. Have tried searching the internet and eBay but no luck, except one reconditioned for £350. Any suggestions or links will be greatly appreciated. Sorry if was already discussed. Thanks

Hi there. I have a turbo here at home for sale. It came off my 2000 passat S TDI 90. ( engine number starting with AHU) Im looking around £220 for it.
Its in perfect condition. The reason why I had it removed was, my (past)mechanic told me that this turbo was faulty when i left my car into his work shop for repair after he serviced it. The car kept breaking down. Anyway. I replaced the turbo at great cost to myself but the car still kept breaking down.
After many arguments with this mechanic I decided to take car to another mechanic. I did and it took this guy about 5 hrs to find out what the problem really was.
The problem was, the original mechanic had managed to crush the fuel line when servicing and the car kept breaking down because of fuel starvation. As you probably know the passat automatically pumps fuel without the need for bleeding. This helped the car start after a few attempts and drive for a short distance before breaking down again. The fuel line was repaired and i've had no problems since. Let me know if your interested. I live in Northern ireland uk.
