Pulled out shifter interlock release
I needed to tow my 2012 CC and did not have the key. When the tow driver arrived he needed to put the car in neutral so he pulled the shifter boot off and pulled on the yellow shifter interlock release tab instead of pushing it and it came out. He could not reinsert the plastic yellow pin and now the dealer says it will be $200 to get the pin back in and it won't shift out of park until the pin is back in.
Does that sound correct? I thought it should be able to shift out of park with the key and I would not have to replace that pin and deal with it later.

I can't really help you if a dealer wants $200 to fix that DSG problem.
