im a student and this is my first car. i need something thats going to last and is good on gas. i have a friend at a dealership that can get me a 2002 passat for 5-6 grand. is this a good deal? i really need some expert advice! any imput will help!
also note that it has over 100, 000 miles on it...is this good or bad???

I just bought a 1984 model of diesel passat. I already put 1000km in it.
(i am also a student, but from a much poorer country).
I would buy this car again!

(probably its a matter of taste, but i can say, as in matters of manufacturing, design, and durability you can count on german workmanship, if you like it, go for it!)
