I am looking for the black washer that is part of the gear position sensor on a 2012 Passat, 2.5 L gas with automatic transmission. The part number for the entire assembly is 09G919823, but mine is working find. I just need the black washer that goes under the lock ring.
Any idea what that washer is made of and what its purpose is? Mine had disintegrated into a flaky dust.
