A OBD II scanner will show the error code with a brief one line description thats all. I've made software to show 6385 VAG error codes. Free EOBD II Error Codes software

Never heard of a VAG-COM scanner?

VAG-COM is the name of Ross-Techs scanner which changed its name to VCDS in 2008. VCDS

Well went and checked the car out, it doesn't have an Immobilizer, the car will still start when the alarm goes off, I don't know if it has a stock alarm, he said it came with a key chain remote that said bulldog, I know that, that is a remote start and alarm company, I did notice a little button that goes down when the hood is shut that I know is usually for a remote start, I'm going to check it out. And see about disconnecting te alarm on the car, I did notice a little red light on the drivers door that is next to the lock, he doesn't have the more for the system anymore he said he lost it when he moved just after he bought the car
