hi, after changing the rear pads on the passat the brake fault light appeared, i did all the right steps for doing thus, (removing brake fluid filler cap and winding back the callipers clockwise) but this message still appeared on the dash, can anyone help or is this a common problem?

We are also having a major problem with the front left caliper binding, I have replaced the discs, hose and the caliper and it seemed to help for a while but its back!

Am now getting to the point where I just want rid as we were having a starting problem but have changed the fuel pump and it seems to have helped so far
