Default An absolute disaster of owning a passat, please help

Hi everyone, I am a newbie from UK, recently got a few problems with my passat and hope you all can kindly give me some suggestions...

So I have been owning a 06 B6 2.0 TDI DSG passat since October last year, it is a used car which has done 80k miles. It is a good car, comfortable with good mpg, really satisfied with the quality of the car. But the happy time didn't last long, approx. 2 months ago, I have been experienced problem starting up the car, along with occasional pop up of exhaust warning light on dashboard, I haven't been really aware of it as I can manage to fix the problem by myself simply lock and unlock the car then off I go.

However the problem is becoming more frequent and I can't fix it with this trick, quite a few times I parked the car on the road for few hours and when I get back to the car it will refuse to start. So I ended up with registered with the AA, since then I became a frequent member for calling AA for their road side assist, the technicians who I have met have fixed the starting up problem quite easily, what I observed was simply remove/unpluged something (i am not very good at cars) under the bonnet, and the car will start again, giving me a good few weeks without problems.

This is not the end of story, recently the car has refused to start again, managed to fix by myself with a bit of luck, then I thought it must be time to send the car for a service. Cost 250 pounds for service at a VW specialist, no problem has found apart from one boot shalft is splited and also 4 tyres need to be changed. Then for the next day after the service 'refuse start' problem appears again, can't do anything about it, ringed up AA and they have sent patrol out to help me out. If people from here living in the UK must knew that the weather is really bad last week - strong wind and rain, under such condition the AA technician helps me to fix the car but they have failed to do so, ended up with the car towed to the VW specialist which I had the car for service. (the car is left overnight left overnight outside the garage and have been fined )
The specialist has checked my car and told me that the fuse box is full of water inside and is broken. , so they have replaced a new one for me also helping me to replaced the splited boot shaft (aware during service) along with other things which cost me another 350 pounds for the fix.

Picked up the car today, drive around a bit and no problems found with the car and thought all the problems are over but the nightmare came back to me later in the afternoon, I tried to start up the engine and yes it won't do so! Heard the 'click click' sound as usual, steering locked, break is almost hard solid to step on, no hope at all, really disasspointed, I have ringed up the VW specialist again and they tell me that they will come over in the morning and help me to take a look on it.

So to conclude with, my car has been experiencing frequent 'refused start' problem, which the steering wheel is locked. At the moment, everything seems to be out of my mind! Please help me!

PS - I am a international student study here in the UK! Sorry about my bad English , and the passat is the first car of my life! I am really disappointed of what I have been experienced with the car so far
