99 Passat 1.8t won"t start hot
This just started doing this when it's hot, most of the time it won't start you have to wait for it to cool down a little, new plugs and filters, runs great when it's running. No lights or codes on. Really appreciate any and all help, Thanks again Jym...

James,
Have you repaired your car yet? Mine is doing the same thing. 1999 Passat 1.8t. If engine reaches normal operating temp and then is parked for 10-30 minutes, upon return will not start until cooled off. Runs normal after starting and never stalls. No check engine codes. Maybe a crank sensor? Not sure. I'm sure others have had same problem but internet searches have turned up nothing. Any advise will be appreciated. Thanks.

Try this solution...

I have the same prob, just Googled it, and the solution sounds like a good one. I'm personally worried that mine is inhabited by the spirit of Herbie
